Salento, located one hour from the capital of the coffee-growing region, Pereira, is known as the cradle of the wax palm, it is a paradise stopped in time, whose houses and balconies remain intact, where there is a lot of history and which currently welcomes thousands of national and especially foreign tourists.

The Cocora Valley is known for its unique, impressive and surreal landscapes, covered by one of the national symbols of Colombia.

Filandia was a resting place for travellers who passed through the National Road and later populated its lands, building cattle counting stations and muleteers’ inns. It was founded by a group of more than one hundred settlers from Antioquia, headed by Felipe Meléndez, on 20 August 1878.
